The council used a system called 'Spotlight on Spend' to illustrate spend in 2009/2010.
This is an external reporting tool which analyses spend according to national procurement categories and shows which suppliers the council used. Please note the following points about the Spotlight on Spend data:
• It is based on supplier’s invoice dates falling within 2009/2010 rather than the accounting / payment processing date.
• Suppliers with whom there was total spend of less than £1,000 are excluded from the summary figures but will appear in the data downloads.
• It does not include grants and payments to other local authorities

Spotlight on Spend is available from the Spotlight on Spend website. Please note that this is an external website and it is not necessary to download the Silverlight software.
