Annual Monitoring Report
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has produced the Annual Monitoring Report 2006 (AMR), a planning document which assesses the implementation of the Local Development Scheme (LDS) and the extent to which local policies and objectives in local plans are being achieved. The AMR also assesses the social, economic and environmental indicators set out within Government guidance. The AMR may be read in conjunction with A Profile of the Borough 2006 as the AMR deals with housing, land use, planning and environmental issues that are not covered in A Profile of the Borough.

Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy
The Basingstoke and Deane Local Strategic Partnership Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy represents a local, holistic, multi-agency approach to improving the quality of life of people in the Borough. It aims to ensure that by 2025 no-one living in Basingstoke and Deane is disadvantaged by where they live and supports and complements the Community Strategy, "Pride in our Place". In identifying the communities experiencing a lower quality of life, the reasons for this and priority themes to address, the Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy is supported by a firm research and evidence base and so is a good source of very local level data about certain communities in the Borough. As such it is a good example of how data analysis can drive priorities and change outcomes.

Landscape Assessment and Living Landscapes
The Landscape Assessment Report was approved as Supplementary Planning Guidance in 2001. It intends to provide the Council with a detailed understanding of the landscape resources of the Borough and its key features. It comprises a landscape overview which describes the formative influences that have shaped the Borough and factors that may influence change in the future, together with more detailed descriptions of individual areas and key features that define the special landscape, historic, ecological and settlement character of the area. It therefore provides a detailed source of data at a very local level.
The Landscape Assessment, along with "Living Landscapes", the Council`s landscape and biodiversity strategy which also contains data about the area, can be found at:
