These pages present data for Basingstoke and Deane at Ward level.  Please note that from May 2008 the Ward boundaries have changed following the recent Ward Boundary Review. Data on the new May 2008 Ward boundaries is being developed and will be published here shortly. The data below is based on Ward boundaries prior to the review.  Until the new data is published if you have any queries about data and statistics for the new Wards, please contact Geoff Gosling or Di Bromley on the details below.

Profiles of individual wards can be found in the Ward level summary statistics (2001 Census), the Facilities in Settlements paper prepared for Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in support of its evidence to the Local Plan Inquiry, the Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy, the Borough Council`s Landscape Assessment report, and Conservation Area Appraisals. Access to cars and vans	Percentage of households with access to cars and vans.
Age structure	Total population, detailed and broad age groups breakdown, average age.
Communal establishment residents	Percentage and numbers of residents in communal establishements by establishment type.
Country of birth	Percentage of people born in countries other than England.
Dwellings by tenure	Percentage of dwellings by tenure type eg: owned with mortgage, owned outright, shared ownership, rented from Registered Social Landlord, rented privately, rent free, rented from employer
Economic activity	Percentage of people aged 16-74 economically active/inactive, employed, unemployed, self employed, students, retired, sick/disabled, looking after home/family.
Economic activity - males	Percentage of economically active/inactive males aged 16-74 and percentages in each economic category.
Economic activity - females	Percentage of economically active/inactive females aged 16-74 and percentages in each economic category.
Ethnic group	Percentage of people in broad and detailed ethnic group.
Health and unpaid care	Limiting long term illness, hours spent providing unpaid care, percentage of people whose health is good/fairly good/not good.
Hours worked	Male and female hours worked, full time and part time hours, for all people aged 16-74 in employment.
Household composition	Pensioner, lone parent, couples, single person households with or without dependant and non dependant children.
Household size, rooms and amenities	Average household size, households with private amenities, occupancy rating.
Household spaces	Property types, vacant/second homes.
Households with limiting long term illness and dependant children	Percentage of households with children where no adults are in employment. Percentage of households with children or where there is limiting long term illness.
Industry of employment	Percentages of people aged 16-74 in certain industry sectors.
Living arrangements	Percentage of people aged 16 and over living in households - married/re-married, co-habiting, single (never married), not in a couple (divorced, widowed, separated).
Lone parent households	Lone parent households - male and female lone parents, in employment/not in employment.
Marital status	Percentage of people aged 16 and over - single, married, re-married, separated, divorced, widowed.
Occupation groups	Percentage of people aged 16-74 in employment by occupation.
Qualifications and students	Percentage of people aged 16-74 with certain qualifications/no qualifications. Economic activity of students aged 18-74. Number of school children by age group.
Religion	Percentage of people by religion - Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, no religion.
Resident population	Usual resident popualtion - males,  females and total. Number of people in communal establishements. Number of students away from home.
Socio-economic classification	Percentage of people aged 16-74 by socio-economic classification.
Travel to work	All people aged 16-74 in employment - method of travel to work. Public transport users with and without access to a car or van.
