Report graffiti

We have experienced a significant amount of vandalism and criminal damage in the form of graffiti across the borough. We have a very good record of catching people who commit these antisocial acts. Working closely with the Police and local residents we were the first in the country to secure convictions for conspiracy to commit criminal damage.

Graffiti can be effectively removed from hard surfaces such as road signs and play equipment using cloth wipes impregnated with chemicals. Porous materials such as brick walls are more difficult to deal with and we usually need to use a range of chemicals and a high pressure washer to clean it off. Painting out graffiti is often the best option on rendered surfaces. Despite our best efforts there may remain a ghost or shadow of the original mark.

We are committed to combating this antisocial behaviour but need your help. If you notice graffiti or see people doing it, please report it by clicking on the button below.

Graffiti on houses or privately owned buildings may attract a charge please contact our Customer Service Centre for further information and advice on 01256 844844.

We will remove graffiti free of charge from residential properties for the first three visits, but will charge thereafter. Commercial properties will be charged per visit. Residents and companies will be asked to sign a disclaimer prior to any work being carried out.

Utility boxes and substations are the responsibility of the relevant companies to arrange removal.
