Council Tax is payable on 5th or 20th of the month, and usually spread over 10 months.
However, should you wish to pay by Direct Debit, you have the option of 2 additional payment dates, 13th or 28th of the month. Your yearly bill can also be divided into a maximum of 12 monthly instalments.
(Please note: the number of instalments is calculated, dependant upon the number of months remaining in that financial year). Once your direct debit instruction is set up on your council tax account you will receive confirmation of your instalments in the form of a bill. Other acceptable methods of payment include:
- internet/telephone automated (available 24/7)
- giro card at any post office
- by post, or by visiting the council offices to pay at the cashiers desk
