Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has interests in a number of CCTV systems operating in the borough. Those interests range from providing grants for systems operated in local communities through to operating systems covering leisure facilities, car-parks, public places and council premises.
Some CCTV systems operating in the borough are the responsibility of third parties. Information about who they are should be readily available in the vicinity of the cameras.
Images captured by the CCTV operated by the council are from static cameras. In the event that they can be helpful to the Police in pursuance of their enquiries, we make images available only after the necessary application paperwork is provided and authorised by a suitably qualified senior police officer.
