The primary purpose of this Disclosure Log is to give wider public access to information that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (BDBC) has previously provided in response to requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. Not all the responses that we have released are published in the Log but we will endeavour to include any response that meets one or more of the following criteria:
The request is believed to be from a parliamentarian, business or academia;
The request is believed to be from the media;
The response contains information which relates to a topical or high-profile subject or one which we judge to be of interest to the wider public, or that promotes the transparency or accountability of the council;
The response is to a repeated or common request, though we may not include responses which add little that is new;
However, these criteria are neither prescriptive nor exhaustive and other responses will be considered for publication if they are identified as potentially being of wider public interest.
