The Borough Business Partnership (BBP) has been running since November 2004 and was formed to give the borough’s business community a voice and opportunity to participate in the issues that affect the borough.
The BBP’s three morning (8am-10am) meetings per year normally focus on 3/4 topics, with one of the topics forming the basis for a workshop session. The types of topics the meetings focus on can be seen in the attached agenda’s below.
Chaired by Tony Curtis (Chief Executive of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council), the group is made up of key businesses, large employers, business support organisations and people with a genuine interest in what direction the Council should be heading.
The success of this private/public partnership has been achieved by the support and input of the participating businesses. The high attendance at each breakfast consultation, and the consistency and continuity of support from businesses has been a crucial factor in the longevity of the partnership.
The council has benefited greatly from these meetings. However, we want to ensure that the partnership is also of value to the businesses.
If you are active in the borough’s businesses community, and want to help shape the way the council supports its businesses, then the Borough Business Partnership wants you as a member.
Have your say now, to help us shape the borough’s economic future!
