Leadbitter provides business opportunities in Basingstoke
The Leadbitter Group is providing a boost to the Basingstoke economy by hosting a supply chain event on 9 December 2011, in a bid to appoint the best local companies as preferred suppliers for projects in the area.
Leadbitter has started work on a £2.2 million contract to construct a new church hall and community medical centre on the site of St Andrew’s Methodist Church in the South Ham area of Basingstoke on behalf of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. The project will include a doctors’ surgery and pharmacy and has already been pre-let to an existing practice which will relocate its South Ham and Hatch Warren surgeries to the site when the construction is completed in Spring next year.
During the event at Pinkerton Way, Basingstoke on 9 December, prospective suppliers will be given an overview of the Leadbitter Group and the work it is carrying out locally, with particular focus on the development at St Andrew’s Church. Each company attending the event will then have the chance to register to join the company’s approved suppliers list and to discuss opportunities with Leadbitter’s staff.

Events like this one in Basingstoke provide local businesses with the chance to become involved in our supply chain and secure work with us.

Leadbitter is looking for local companies who can provide roof works and finishing trades, such as carpentry, plastering and drylining, screeding, flooring and decorating. Companies that are successful in joining the approved suppliers list could be on-site as early as January.
