The council uses a contractor to provide pest control services on its behalf and offers a free rat removal service to domestic customers aged over 60 and/or those in receipt of income support or housing benefit.
If you do not qualify for our free service, you will need to contact a private pest control company to arrange treatment. Please also view our Controlling Rats and Mice leaflet available to download below.
Please note we do not provide a removal service for any other pests. Information on local pest controllers can be found in the
Yellow Pages. The
