Streetz 2012
Summer Streetz 2012 made a welcome return this summer, with 5 weeks of activities across the borough for 11 to 17 year olds to enjoy. Further expansion enabled 20 local areas to benefit from the 15 activity programmes which ran simultaneously from 30 July to 31 August. Local communities were busy canvassing the opinions of young people in each area to ensure that the activities provided matched what they wish to do. By providing these activities within their local community and free at the point of entry 2012 once again saw thousands of young people enjoying themselves in a safe environment.

What is Streetz?
‘Streetz’ is a brand, created by a partnership of agencies, led by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, to market a holiday activity programme aimed at 11 to 17 year olds in the borough.
Significant levels of sponsorship are received from Shire Pharmaceuticals, Sovereign Housing Association, Anvil Arts and the Community Safety Partnership which joins that of the council as well as a whole host of community organisations that made in-kind contributions to ensure a sustainable initiative.
