Latest works
The new play area and bike track have been completed and are now open. Six new carved entrance signs have been installed, as well as additional boundary hedging and tree planting, and a new entrance near the local centre from which a new footpath connects to the Sainsbury's entrance. Works are still being carried out on a new timber ball wall and kick-about area, as well as improvements to informal entrance points.

News
Since the new play area has been opened, a number of park users have contacted us to report issues. These include:
- Dogs running loose through the play area, barking at and scaring children
- Dog excrement left on the ground
- Litter not being put in to bins
- Graffiti on the new signs, the ball wall and the footpaths
Please respect Beggarwood Park by putting litter in the bins provided, and not drawing on the new signs and footpaths. Please also respect other park users, and if you are walking your dog in the park keep it under control, and on a lead when in the play area.
We would remind you that it is an offence to not pick up after your dog, for which you could be fined. It is also a significant health risk to other park users, as the excrement carries disease.
