Committee discusses report into Manydown decision making
A report arising from an independent investigation into decisions taken about land at Manydown, in Basingstoke, is to be discussed by councillors at a meeting in public on Wednesday 7 November.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council commissioned independent auditors, Ernst and Young, to carry out an investigation into the process leading to the land not being considered for development alongside other possible sites in the draft planning blueprint for the area. The land is owned jointly by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Hampshire County Council.
The borough council’s Audit, Governance and Accounts Committee, is to consider the findings and recommendations in the

Members of the public can attend the meeting, which is due to start at 4.30pm and is expected to last most of the evening. The meeting will take place at the council offices in London Street, Basingstoke. The meeting will start with Ernst and Young’s summary of the key points of the report and initial questions by members of the AGA committee. Borough residents can speak for up to five minutes giving their comments The meeting will also be webcast via a link on the front page of the website.
