Council Plan 2012 to 2015

The Council Plan 2012 to 2015 was agreed at Full Council on 9 February 2012 and is effective from 1 April 2012.

The council plan is a rolling three year document and has been refreshed to reflect the current circumstances and give an overview of the priority themes and activities that our communities have told us are important and where we need to make a difference.

Produced at a time of prolonged economic uncertainty and changes to national policy, which will affect how local government works in the future, the council's focus  continues to be on delivering core services that meet identified local need, bring benefits and provide value for money.

Key challenges as we move forward will be:

  • to maintain a supply of decent affordable homes to buy and rent, and
  • to deliver on longer term projects like the regeneration of Basing View to ensure the borough's continued prosperity by encouraging the provision of good jobs.
