The ONS Local Authority Profiles present 2001 Census data in summary form for each local authority in England and Wales grouped by region. They provide a snapshot of the resident population of each area by age and sex, and summary profile information covering People, Places and Families, Ethnicity and Religion, Health, Work and Housing.
