The principal origins of in-commuters, who live outside the borough but commute into it to work are shown below. This also shows the proportions of these commuters in relation to all in-commuters, and to the borough’s workforce as a whole. In addition to these principal origins, the borough's workforce consisted of people from all of the Hampshire districts, Dorset, West and East Sussex, Kent and Slough. This illustrates the wide and diverse area from which the borough's workforce is attracted. Just over 2,000 people commute in from even further afield - from the rest of the UK or abroad.
Hart, Test Valley, Surrey, West Berkshire, Winchester, London, Wokingham and Rushmoor feature as both destinations for the borough's residents and origins of in commuters for the borough's workforce.
