The Local Plan
The Local Plan Team is responsible for the development of planning policies which guide and shape future development in the borough, reflecting the borough's 'vision'. The team are responsible for producing, what was known under the previous Government, as the Local Development Framework (LDF). This term has since been replaced by the current Government who have re-introduced the concept of the Local Plan. The Local Plan consists of a range of local planning policies, a spatial strategy for the future development of the borough, and includes strategic site allocations. The Local Plan is currently being prepared by the team, and is due to be adopted in Spring 2014.
