Biodiversity Assessment

The borough council has undertaken two assessments of potential future development areas, to provide guidance on the biodiversity implications of accommodating further development within the borough.  All of the assessed sites and combination of sites are located in the areas immediately surrounding Basingstoke, Bramley, Overton and Whitchurch.

The areas considered have been assessed for the compatibility between the principle of undertaking development within them and the range of biodiversity policies and legislation that would have to be applied to such a decision.

Copies of the reports are available to download below. If you have any queries, please contact the Trees and Biodiversity Officer, Victoria Smith at victoria.smith@basingstoke.gov.uk or call 01256 8455201.
