A study to identify the cause and solutions to the flooding in Bowmonts Road as well as the impact other proposed development in Tadley would have on the network has been undertaken. The scope of the investigation is outlined below.
- To address foul flooding at Bowmonts Road, namely:
- Identify the cause of the foul flooding in Bowmonts Road and Brookside Walk
- Identify options for alleviating the foul flooding on the basis of a 1 in 15 year design storm.
- Provide cost estimates for options, and recommend the best engineering solution
To assess development impacts:
- Identify local impact of development design flows on the foul sewerage network
- Identify options for alleviating any foul flooding predicted to be caused by the development design flows
- Provide preliminary cost estimates for these options.

Since the publication of the report, Thames Water has now completed an infrastructure upgrade scheme for Bowmonts Road and as such connections to the sewerage network will now be allowed.
