The Viables Craft Centre is owned and managed by the council and is set on a four acre site which was originally the old Viables Farm. The farm buildings have been converted into workshops permanently occupied by individual craft specialists and creative industries. The site also includes a miniature steam railway, a restaurant and community facilities.
The Craft Centre is let to a variety of small enterprises and current trades include picture framing, art gallery, art classes, beauty salon, dressmaker, florist, handmade cards, textile artist, engravers and manufacturers of jewellery, pottery, furniture restoration, ceramics and glassware. There are a number of craft workshop classes available to both adults and children throughout the year.
Viables Craft Centre can be found on the southern side of Basingstoke approximately 3 miles from the town centre and minutes from the A30, near to the A339 Alton Road and junction 6 of the M3. A location map can be found at the bottom of this page.
Details of any available Craft Centre units can be found on the councils property to let pages.
