THE JUBILEE WEEKEND ARE NOW CLOSED

Street parties have been a tradition in Britain for nearly a century and have been organised to celebrate all sorts of local and national occasions. They are a great way for local residents to come together, for neighbours to get to know each other better, and to help build community spirit.
2012 will see communities across the country come together
to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in June and the Olympic games in July and August.
In most cases you will need permission from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council if you are planning a street party in 2012. You will also need to supply the council with some documentation to show that your party will be managed safely.
You can use the application form below to let us know what you are planning to do.
The council has also produced a guidance leaflet that can be downloaded using the at the bottom of this page.
If you have any queries, or would like to discuss organising a street party you can contact Luke Chatterton at luke.chatterton@basingstoke.gov.uk or telephone 01256 845676
