Love Parks Week

23 to 31 July 2011 - A week long national celebration of parks and green spaces

Join us in celebrating Love Parks Week and one year to go to the Olympics

Love Parks Week 2011 will focus on the role that green space plays as a focal point for communities. Inclusive, free to use and natural, parks are a vital part of our every day lives but need community involvement as much as communities need them!

Love Parks Week is organised by parks charity GreenSpace.  The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the importance of Britain’s parks and green spaces and encourage people to get out and discover what these fantastic places have got to offer.

During Love Parks Week there will be playworkers in each of the Five Gold Rings Project Zones to encourage you to enjoy a local park and get active. Come along and get involved: it's informal, free of charge and we will have giant inflatable rings. You are welcome to bring along a picnic and outdoor toys and games that your family love! For details of venues, dates and times, please see the PDF below.
