Coaching and Education

VolunteersBasingstoke and Deane Borough Council in partnership with 'Sport Hampshire and Isle of Wight,' and the Local Sports Council offer a programme of sports volunteer education courses to develop the quality and quantity of coaches and volunteers involved in sport locally. These courses are particularly relevant to those clubs who are working towards their National Governing Body accreditation.

It still remains a strong recommendation that any coach working with children and young people attends 'Good Practice & Child Protection', 'Equity in Your Coaching' and 'How to Coach Disabled People in Sport' workshops.

CoachThe aim of the bursary scheme is to facilitate the progression of local people into coaching and officiating roles and to support the development of Basingstoke and Deane’s existing valued coaches and officials.
