The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992

The Regulations apply to all workplaces.

They are intended to protect the health and safety of everyone in the workplace and to ensure that adequate welfare facilities are provided for people at work.

The regulations make specific requirements for maintenance, ventilation, temperature, lighting, cleanliness, workspace, doors and gates, traffic routes (such as stairs and corridors), loading bays, seating, eating and rest facilities.
