We carry out regular surveys to find out what our customers think of our service. In 2003 we surveyed 33% of all businesses inspected for food and health and safety and 100% of all food and health and safety complaints. These are the results for last year:
• 100% satisfaction with the quality of advice given by inspectors; the helpfulness of inspectors; and inspection procedures;
• 15% were dissatisfied with the inspection of health and safety premises without an appointment.
All other service users will be randomly surveyed on a regular basis and the results are analysed and actioned as necessary. The Team carries out frequent internal performance monitoring against set standards, and weare accredited to ISO 9001:2000. We are audited both internally and externally every year against this standard, and are active participants in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Inter- Authority Auditing scheme.
