As previously mentioned 15% of businesses are unhappy with inspectors wishing to inspect their premises without having made an appointment. The reason we have such powers is to be able to view the business as it operates under normal circumstances. This can only be carried out by making an unannounced visit, however we appreciate such inspections may be inconvenient and endeavour to minimise any disruption.
