Each year we undertake an annual canvass of all residents in the borough to ensure the revised Register of Electors, published on 1 December 2016, is as accurate as possible.
On Friday 26 August, a Household Enquiry Form will be sent to all properties in the borough. This form is not a registration form. Instead, this form will list all current registered electors and ask residents to confirm or change the information we hold for the property on the Electoral Register.
This form will be an A4 Booklet, with blue headings on the inside.
It is a legal requirement that you respond to the form even if everyone in the household is already registered to vote and no changes need to be made.
You should respond to this as soon as possible, in one of the following ways:
- Fill the form in online www.householdresponse.com/basingstoke
- If there are no changes, confirm the details by texting NOCHANGE followed by your security code to 80212
- If there are no changes, confirm the details by calling 0800 197 9871
- Complete and sign the form then return it using the pre-paid envelope
Your security code is printed on the form. You will need this when completing the form online or via telephone.
