What would you like to do in Rooksdown?
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has been working with residents in Rooksdown, the Rooksdown Community Association and Rooksdown Parish Council to find out the community needs in Rooksdown.
In December 2007, the Wessex Christian Fellowship came forward with a proposal to purchase the former Park Prewett main hall at Rooksdown and convert it into a church and community facility.
Consultation has recently been carried out to gather local views on what facilities would be needed in the community to provide the activities and services that would meet local need, This also included acknowledgement that some activities and services would not be appropriate to be held in the Wessex Christian Fellowship’s hall, due to their beliefs.
