Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council provides grants, funding and a range of support services to various voluntary and community sector organisations (VCSO’s) as it strives to improve the general wellbeing of local residents.
The Borough Council believes that VCSO’s have the skills and abilities to provide locally needed services in an effective and efficient manner, thus providing maximum value for local residents. Additional benefits of building social capital or engaging people with their own communities through volunteering simply reinforces the importance of this approach.
