Responsible to the council for the strategic leadership of the organisation, acting as an ambassador for the borough and the organisation, while ensuring (as Head of Paid Service) the successful delivery of all council services.

Key responsibility
Ensure the successful delivery of the commissioning framework whilst overseeing the continued development and governance of the organisation.

- Commissioning including grants, procurement and performance

- Governance including legal, committee services, electoral services and licensing

Council strategies including council plan, efficiences, strategic needs assessment, equalities and safeguarding.
Director of Council Services - Karen Brimacombe

Ensure the successful delivery of services to residents and the community.

- Residents services (housing, benefits, environmental health, planning and development)
- Community services (regeneration and design, wellbeing, community development and environmental care)
- Waste and recycling services
