The Council's share of the Council Tax has only increased by three and a quarter per cent, the equivalent to a penny a day for an average household in the borough.
Households in band D pay just 28p per day for a range of services, including recycling, rubbish collection, planning and building control, community safety, housing, street cleansing, grass cutting, Council Tax and housing benefits, environmental heath, licensing, leisure, sport, culture and the arts.
Once again this is the lowest Council Tax of all districts in the county. The council has achieved this by looking for the most efficient ways to run its services.
