Consultation and community engagement is important to find out about the needs and expectations of the people that live and work in the borough. It’s about providing people with choices; an opportunity to participate if they choose to.
The council has a Community Engagement Strategy to guide its consultation and community involvement.
The overarching aim of the strategy is to ensure that residents, partners and other key stakeholders in Basingstoke and Deane have a voice to influence the development of policies and strategies that will affect their lives, and to inform the way in which services in the Borough are planned and delivered.
