Personal Search Bookings Service Request Form

To request this service online you will need:

• To create a My Basingstoke account and sign in to it.
• To provide address details for your search(es).
• To choose an Appointment slot. Appointment slots are currently half-hourly between the hours of 09.00 and 12.00, and between 14.00 and 15.30 Monday to Friday.
• If you wish to pay online, a valid credit or debit card will be required (we accept Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, Switch and Visa).

Alternatively you can register for this service by calling our contact centre on 01256 844844 - please have your address, postcode and all search addresses ready.  If you wish to make payment via a credit/debit card, please also have these details ready.

Terms and Conditions

• At least 48 hours prior notice is required for appointments for personal searches, and depending upon staff resources and workload, it may be necessary to extend this to 72 or 96 hours.  This notice period is taken into account automatically by the dates offered when you complete this form.
• Once your booking has been confirmed, the Local Land Charges Team will require an adequate site location plan of the property in order to carry out the search, which may be sent to us either by fax on 01256 841945, or by e-mail to info@basingstoke.gov.uk
• If you choose not to pay online, you will be required to pay on-site in our Cash Hall prior to, or during, your appointment before we can release any search information.
• Hampshire County Council are the highways authority for this district, and any enquiries you may have concerning roads and footpaths should be directed to them at The Castle, Winchester.
• You should make every effort to ensure that you know all of the addresses you will require for your appointment at the time of making this booking, allowances can be made to alter addresses, add or remove addresses due to genuine errors.  However, actions such as intentionally making a booking using a random number of random addresses to reserve a booking slot and then contacting us to change the addresses to actual ones you require, or knowingly booking a slot with a couple of addresses and then planning to contact us later to add half a dozen more to the same slot in an effort to reserve a slot or to attempt to circumvent the daily maximum number of searches/maximum number of remaining available searches we can offer, will be considered abuse of the service and your access to this online form may be blocked.
