The Borough Council has a limited role in respect of District Drainage as much of the activity relating to drainage and flooding is the responsibility of other agencies. The Council is concerned with non-main rivers and watercourses, flood damage, drainage complaints, management of sewage treatment plants, planning application consultations, information and advice. As a result of the review, an improvement plan was produced. We have now changed our approach and any outstanding actions have been included in the 3-year service plan for the Business Unit. The document below shows which actions have been completed, which are no longer relevant and which have been transferred to the service plan.
