The Council has a statutory duty to produce a Community Strategy that will deliver Sustainable Development. The Local Government Act 2000 has generated the majority of recent policy related work on sustainability, including responding to opportunities within the new powers and partnership working towards the emerging Local Strategic Partnership and Community Strategy. As a result of the review, an improvement plan was produced. We have now changed our approach and any outstanding actions have been included in the 3-year service plan for the Business Unit. The document below shows which actions have been completed, which are no longer relevant and which have been transferred to the service plan.
