The way we treat our environment is becoming increasingly important. How we live our lives impacts upon on the Earth both on a global and local level.
There's a huge amount of information available on the subject but it can be overwhelming and difficult to sort through. Officers within the Environmental Care team can help. Whether it's talking to a group of people about recycling or delivering an assembly on litter and flytipping we're more than happy to support where we can. We may not know all the answers but the chances are we know someone who does and can point you in the right direction !
We are long term members of ENCAMS formally the Tidy Britain Group, Their website contains lots of information on environmental quality and has reports and articles on subjects such as fast food litter and chewing gum. Graffiti and flyposting are also covered as is dog fouling, flytipping and drugs related litter. They have a number of colourful posters some of which can be downloaded for free
If you'd like to talk further about any of these issues or would like to arrange a speaker for your school or club please contact Blanche Miles on 01245 845688 or mail blanche.miles@basingstoke.gov.uk.
