The Community Furniture Project is a local charity, promoting the re-use of furniture, household goods, electrical items and toys at low cost to people in Basingstoke, Newbury and the surrounding towns and villages. It has recently expanded, doubling its size, enabling much more furniture to be recycled and re-used in the community.
The Project has also launched a new scheme: Community Re>paint, a project co-ordinated nationally by Dulux, BIFFA and SWAP. Re>paint offers everyone somewhere to donate their usable leftover paint where it can then be redistributed to those who need it.
You can support the Community Furniture Project by:
- donating furniture and electrical goods
- buying low cost furniture
- volunteering and training with them
