Bulky Household waste collection is subject to a £10.00 charge.
The type of things that can be taken away are:-

Freezers

Washing Machines

Televisions
The £10.00 charge will apply to those household items that a person would normally take with them should they move house and where the collection time does not exceed 15 minutes.
Requesting a bulky waste collection
To request a bulky household waste collection please telephone our Customer Contact Centre on (01256) 844844. Please have your Credit/Debit Card details available when you call if you wish to pay using this method.
If you wish to make payment by cheque please also phone our Contact Centre for advice on the charges applicable to your request. Once your payment has been processed we will contact you to arrange your collection day.
Customers who wish to pay by cash are asked to visit the Civic Offices where the payment can be received and collection day arranged.
Note: Cash payments must not be sent via the postal service.

Other waste - quotations
We can also provide a quotation for those items of household waste that a person would NOT normally take with them when they move house. For example, DIY waste, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, fittings and internal/external doors.
The minimum cost for the collection and disposal of this type of waste is £45.00.
Free disposal at the HWRC
Alternatively you may take and dispose of your items, free of charge, at the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) - Wade Road, Basingstoke.
The HWRC is open every day, except 25 and 26 December and 1 January at the following times:-

Before requesting a collection of bulky household waste, please think about whether the items you are discarding have some useful life in them. If so, you may be able to give them to the Community Furniture Project in Basingstoke. Click here for more information
