Junction 7, M3. Follow A30 Winchester Road to Brighton Hill roundabout. Follow signs for Down Grange Sports Complex and turn left at the brown tourist sign along Pack Lane. Follow the road past the athletics track and into the car park. The Walled Garden has large ornate front gates.

History
The Walled Garden is a delightful ‘secret’ garden dating back to the 1800’s, when it once served as a kitchen garden to Down Grange House. Today it operates as a public garden and wildlife area. Original features still remain today, such as the formal yew hedges, the croquet lawn and gothic gates. The Garden is an idyllic location for wedding receptions and private functions and hosts a series of popular family events throughout the year publicised in the What's On guide. An admission fee is only charged to visitors on event days. Dogs on leads are welcome.
Facilities
The garden is an 8 hectare enclosed area, with a wildlife pond and dipping platform, show allotments, bee hives and colourful herbaceous borders. There is also a level grassy area large enough for a 70X50ft marquee. The Bothy has public toilets with disabled access and baby changing facilities, as well as a small kitchen area. It is only open to the public during events and also available to book.
