New footways
The Borough Council makes funds available for the provision of new footways. The criteria used to assess and prioritise requests places an emphasis on the need to encourage the use of alternative modes of transport and to provide footways which link to local amenities (i.e. shops, schools and bus stops) New requests are investigated, and if feasible, are scored using an agreed criteria so they can be added to a 'rolling programme' for implementation as funding becomes available.
