Maintenance of road signs

The maintenance of road signs within the Borough is the responsibility of Hampshire County Council Highways, who are based at this Council's offices and are supported by the HCC Highways Depot at Hook.

If you spot a non emergency fault, you can notify Hampshire County Council Highways simply and quickly by completing their online form www.hants.gov.uk/roads

If you spot an emergency fault outside of normal office hours, please telephone
(01256) 844844. You will be connected to a staffed out of hours staffed answering service, however if your call cannot be taken please leave details of the fault along with your contact details on the answerphone so that appropriate action can be taken.

New road signs

The Borough Council is responsible for the installation of new road signs, including tourism signs (brown signs).
