Parking Control Team
The Parking Control Team are responsible for the enforcement of the Traffic Acts in the borough, making our streets safer for everyone.
To help us keep our streets free from parking hazards be a considerate motorist :
don’t park …
- in designated residents’ parking areas without a valid permit.
- on single or double yellow lines.
- in limited waiting areas longer than specified.
- in reserved bays without the appropriate permit/badge.
- across the lines of a marked bay.
don’t assume that …
- it’s ok to park because other vehicles are parked there, or because someone says you can.
- parking is free or unrestricted on bank holidays, Sundays, in the evenings or overnight.
- buying a ticket for a pay-and-display car park means a penalty charge notice cannot be issued - make sure your pay-and-display ticket is clearly and securely displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle.
