2008 Concessionary Fare Issue

The National Bus pass update

If you have not yet received your bus pass please continue to use your current pass on local buses. We have made arrangements for you to continue to travel locally with this pass until your new national pass is sent to you.

New national passes are currently in the postal system and should arrive with you shortly.

Unfortunately our card bureau has included the incorrect card carrier with the bus pass which incorrectly states a list of contact details for neighbouring councils is enclosed. This list is no longer relevant so please ignore this. When planning a journey we recommend to use traveline, the public transport information line, telephone 0871 200 22 33 or on-line at www.traveline.info.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council Travel Tokens are issued from the Parklands main reception area at the Civic Offices, London Road between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 08.30am and 4.30pm Fridays.  You may also visit this reception to renew your bus pass. Please note that the bus pass will be posted directly to you by our supplier and may take up to ten working days to reach you.

All renewal forms were posted during December 2007.  If you are over 75 years of age you will be entitled to a postal issue.  For details of what you need to do to renew your concession please read the enclosed flyer that accompanies your form.  Alternatively, you can download a copy of our information leaflet below.

For the 2008 issue we increased the number of Small Parish areas which are eligible to renew by post.  This will be indicated by a P on your renewal form.

We have also introduced a new service for those individuals who are temporarily having problems with mobility and need to renew by post.  If this applies to you please tick the relevant section on your renewal form.
