Expressions of Interest are invited
The council is exploring a local lettings policy for this redevelopment which would provide an exciting opportunity for those employed on a permanent contract for a minimum of 16 hours per week, by Hampshire County Council at a school or academy in Popley East or West, or employed by the NHS at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Aldermaston Road, or Bermuda and Marlowe Health Practice at their Shakespeare Road site.
Although priority will be given to the above groups, applicants who are employed and work in either Popley East or West and have done so for the past two years may also be considered.
Two two-bedroom flats and three one-bedroom flats are becoming available with Mears (Plexus) at Chineham House, Popley. They will be let on a five year, fixed term tenancy, following a successful starter tenancy of one year. Applicants on the Housing Register who fulfil the above criteria are invited to express an interest by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the subject line of your email please quote:
- Ref: 13088 if interested in the two bedroom flats and your Housing Register reference.
- Ref: 13087 for the one bedroom flats and your Housing Register reference.
Please also provide details of your employment in your email. We will contact you for further verification of your employment within the next week or two. Applicants will then be ranked by the criteria above, then by band, and then by earliest date within the band.
Expressions of interest are also invited with regards to five one-bedroom flats within the same scheme, for those who are resident in Popley East or West, who through their voluntary work provide a benefit for the community/residents of Popley East and/or West. Although priority will be given to this group, applicants who are resident in the Popley East or West may also be considered.

The rent payable on the two bedroom flats will be £722.97 per month and for the one bedroom flats £598.17 per month. Please note, this is a child and pet free scheme.
