What classes as an event?

Events are an important part of everyday community life bringing people closer together. Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council land is used for all sorts of events and activities throughout the year, from community group BBQs to larger scale music and sporting events. These events provide a fantastic opportunity for people to celebrate something special, raise money, raise awareness, learn something new or simply enjoy the outdoors. Events can also take place on private land or public land not owned by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. It is useful for the council to know about all events taking place in Basingstoke
