Community (asymptomatic) Testing
Asymptomatic (no symptom) COVID-19 testing is available in Basingstoke and Deane
Following the government’s announcement that free rapid tests will be offered to everyone in England from Friday 9 April 2021, residents can collect two packs of seven lateral flow device test kits from a test site. There is no need to book an appointment.
Testing should be done twice a week. Step-by-step instructions are included with the test kit. A video demonstration and alternative language versions are available online. You can also call 119 and request a translation service.
Kits can be collected from:
- Participating pharmacies across the borough. Details of the pharmacies in the borough taking part in this scheme can be found on Hampshire County Council's website.
- Churchill Way long stay car park (from 11 April 2021)
You can also order a home test kit for delivery online or by calling 119. This service can be used if you cannot get tested at your workplace or if you are unable to go to a testing site for a test or collection.
Schools will be providing self-test kits to staff and secondary-age pupils. Children attending sites are therefore encouraged to access their tests through schools. Anybody can get a test, but you must be over 16 years old in order to book a test.
Book a test (you will be redirected to Hampshire County Council's website)
The Government has announced that all businesses are now eligible to register for workplace testing, regardless of the number of employees. Businesses can register via the GOV.UK website
