Household Support Fund food vouchers

We have been allocated funding from Hampshire County Council, as part of the extended household support fund to support households with food vouchers who are in receipt of Council Tax Support and/or Housing Benefit.

The food vouchers will be a one-off award and will be issued the week commencing 27 January 2025.

You do not need to apply for the food vouchers as we will be writing directly to the following eligible recipients:

  • £20 per household in receipt of Council Tax Support
  • £40 per household in receipt of Housing Benefit only

The vouchers will be made available in the following two ways:

  • Working age recipients will receive a letter with a QR code to claim the voucher online
  • Pensionable age recipients will receive a letter with a physical voucher. The nearest supermarket has been pre-selected, prior to issue, based on postcode.
Are there any restrictions on what I can buy?

Vouchers cannot be used to purchase alcohol, petrol, tobacco products, stamps, lottery or phone top-ups.

How do I access my voucher (QR code)?
  1. Scan the QR code
  2. You will be asked to enter your email address or mobile number in order to claim the voucher
  3. If you've received a QR code before, we recommend logging in to your Evouchers account via the app or by visiting https://evouchers.com/recipient/login, clicking into your old vouchers that have been used and selecting the archive option in the top right hand corner. This will avoid confusion with later use of your new voucher in store. Once logged in, you can select your preferred supermarket, then your voucher will be displayed.

The following supermarket vouchers can be used online:

  • Asda
  • Sainsburys
  • Waitrose
How do I access my voucher (paper vouchers)?

A voucher is attached to the letter. You can use it in store by using the barcode or long number at the checkout.

The voucher can be used online at

Morrisons and Tesco can only be used in store.
