Your wellbeing

The wellbeing of our staff is important to us and we support them to look after their own physical and mental wellbeing, both in and out of work. Not only do we want our staff to have a healthy wellbeing but we know that staff who are motivated and have a healthy work-life balance will provide great services for our residents.

Our wellbeing group bring staff from a range of teams together to promote a healthy workplace and coordinate a programme of wellbeing activities, events and awareness sessions on topics such as mental and physical health, menopause and financial wellbeing.

We also have a group of trained mental health champions who provide an alternative and confidential listening ear for our staff to go to if they need to speak to someone and direct them to professional support services if they need it.

We understand that our staff may want to speak to someone outside of the organisation so we provide access to a free 24/7 telephone employee assistance programme which offers confidential and independent support on matters such as family issues, debt, work, lifestyle addictions, relationships and legal advice.

And our healthcare cash plan system helps staff to cover costs such as dental and optical care and other therapies such as chiropractic treatment. This can be upgraded to provide greater cover and additional family members.
