Police and Crime Commissioner

Donna Jones was elected as Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) serving Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton in May 2021.

Police and Crime Commissioners are elected to make policing more accountable and give people a greater voice on police and crime matters.

Setting the strategy for policing, crime and disorder reduction and victim support.

The Police and Crime Commissioner is ultimately accountable to the electorate via the ballot box. There is also a Police and Crime Panel (PCP) responsible for scrutinising and supporting the work of the PCC.
