The following Plans and Supporting Documents are required to meet National and Local requirements. They may be either Conditional or Mandatory. Review the Condition/Trigger to determine if that requirement applies to your application.
Requirements are marked with L=Local, N=National, C=Conditional, M=Mandatory.

The block plan (2 copies) should be drawn at an identified standard metric scale (1:500). It should show the proposed development in relation to the site boundaries and other existing buildings on the site, with metric dimensions specified including those to the boundaries. It should also show the direction of north.
It should also include the following – unless they would NOT influence or be affected by the proposed development:
2 copies Scale 1:100/1:50. All plans to clearly and consistently show existing and proposed works. All plans to have a scale bar, key dimensions in metric (distance of the development from the boundaries of the site and size of the building) original paper size and a north point.
Existing and proposed site sections and finished floor and site levels (for example at a scale of 1:50 or 1:100) if the site is not level, if the site is level written confirmation of this
2 copies Scale 1:100/ 1:50. Required for all planning applications involving significant extensions to roof forms and new buildings. All plans to clearly and consistently show existing and proposed works. All plans to have a scale bar, key dimensions in metric (distance of the development from the boundaries of the site and size of the building) original paper size and a north point. To show the shape of the roof, materials, vents and location.
Not required for conservatories or sheds.
